Data & Account Deletion

You are always in control of your information. This page explains how to delete your Social Marketing Aid account and the data associated with it. No login is required to read these instructions.

I. How to Request Deletion

A. In the app (fastest)

1. Open Social Marketing Aid and go to Settings.
2. Select Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account and data are queued for permanent deletion immediately.

B. By email

If you cannot access the app, email us from the address on your account with the subject "Delete My Account":

You can also submit a request on our account deletion request form — no login required. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within the timeline below.

C. Removing Social Marketing Aid from Facebook or Instagram

If you connected a Facebook or Instagram account, you can revoke access from your Facebook settings under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations (or Instagram under Apps and Websites). When you remove Social Marketing Aid there, Meta automatically notifies us through our Data Deletion Callback, and we delete the data we hold that is associated with that account. See Section VI.

II. What Happens When You Delete

• Your login and access to the Service are removed.
• Access tokens for every connected platform are revoked and deleted.
• Your personal data and content are permanently deleted from our active systems within the timeline in Section V.

III. Data That Is Deleted

• Your account and profile (name, email, phone, company websites).
• Connected-account credentials and access tokens.
• Scheduled and drafted posts, uploaded media, brand voice settings, and answer-bank entries.
• Stored comments and public commenter information, and generated replies.
• Analytics tied to your account, leads, alerts, and audit history (except as noted below).
• For team accounts: an organization owner may delete the entire organization and all of its brands' data.

IV. Data That May Be Retained

We may retain limited information where required or permitted by law:

• Records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, or security/fraud-prevention purposes, for the period required by law.
• Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you.
• Backup copies are purged on our regular backup rotation (within 30 days).

VI. Meta Data Deletion Callback (Technical)

Social Marketing Aid implements a Data Deletion Callback as required by the Meta Platform. When Meta sends us a signed deletion request for a user, we verify the request, delete the data associated with that Meta user, record the request, and return a confirmation code and a status URL where the user can check the status of their deletion request.
